Die Burganlage, eigentlich eine Doppelburg - Ober- und Unterburg - ist eine der ganz wenigen Burgen in der Eifel, die in ihrer Geschichte nie zerstört worden sind. Sie befinden sich jeweils in Privatbesitz.

The castle complex, actually a double castle - upper and lower castle - is one of the very few castles in the Eifel that have never been destroyed in their history. They are each in private ownership.
