Auch wenn heute die analoge Fotografie noch eine kleine Renaissance erlebt, insgesamt verblasst die Erinnerung an die alte Technik immer mehr. Dabei vermittelt die Beschäftigung mit den alten Apparaten mehr Verständnis für fotografische Grundlagen als manches Tutorial moderner Digitalkameras. Nicht dass ich die moderne Digitalfotografie verteufeln möchte - ich nutze sie ja schließlich selber intensiv und es bieten sich ja so viel mehr Möglichkeiten als früher - , aber die Kenntnis um die alten Techniken lässt einen die Fotografie kreativer nutzen.
Das Bild stellt einen kleinen Ausschnitt meiner Kameras aus der Nachkriegszeit dar, auch wenn sie durch die bewusst herbeigeführte Verwacklung teils schwer erkennbar sind. Links eine Canon EOS 650 von 1987, das erste Modell des damals neuen EOS-Systems, dann eine Agfa Super Solinette - eine gute Klappfalt-Kamera von 1954, weiter eine Adox Polomat 1 aus der Baureihe 1960 - 65 und schließlich eine Balda Baldessa L von 1964.

Even though analog photography is still experiencing a small renaissance today, the memory of the old technology is fading more and more. But the work with the old equipment gives more understanding for photographic basics than many tutorials of modern digital cameras. Not that I would like to demonize modern digital photography - I use it intensively myself and there are so many more possibilities than before - but the knowledge of the old techniques allows you to use photography more creatively.
This picture shows a small section of my cameras from the post-war period, even if they are sometimes difficult to recognize due to the intentionally caused blurring. On the left a Canon EOS 650 from 1987, the first model of the then new EOS system, then an Agfa Super Solinette - a good folding camera from 1954, further an Adox Polomat 1 from the 1960 - 65 series and finally a Balda Baldessa L from 1964.
